Meet Our Team

Greg Bunch

CEO

Greg’s career as a technician actually started when he was five or six years old taking apart his wagon, bike, or anything else he could get his hands on. He dreamed of the day he could motorize something! Greg’s first car was a '66 VW Bug that really should have been scrapped. With the help of family, friends, and neighbors, Greg rebuilt the Bug and learned all about air cooled Volkswagens. Greg took his passion and worked his way up from a Volkswagen specialty shop to learning about all European cars. He has since worked at general repair shops, as well as dealerships.

Greg became ASE master certified at 23 and, soon after, achieved an L-1 certification. He continues to maintain them today. He first opened for business in his home garage for the first few months in 2001. Greg put his tools away in 2007 after acquiring his second location and decided that he needed to work on his business. He more seriously undertook the transition of becoming a business man in the car industry instead of just a car guy in business.

Since that time, Greg has grown his business to five locations that serve the Front Range of Colorado. Greg is on the advisory board for Ratchet and Wrench magazine and is routinely interviewed for articles in the magazine. He also works with owners of both large and small shops for select consulting engagements.

Greg lives with his wife Elaina in Colorado. They enjoy their five children and eight grandchildren. Greg and his wife have a true passion for change in the automotive industry so that each and every client gets the value, service, and quality that they deserve.

``At Aspen Auto Clinic we believe that quality people, quality parts, and quality diagnosis equal a quality product.``

Karen Maus

Company Engagement Manager

Karen has climbed Pikes Peaks more than once. She loves to bake, hike, kayak, and garden. And she lost count of how many Dave Matthews Band concerts she’s been to after #35. With an Associate’s degree in Sustainability, Karen is honored to have been able to help us go green at Aspen Auto Clinic!

Colorado has been her home since July of 2005, before that she lived in a small farm town in Kansas. The never-ending views in the Springs are Karen’s favorite thing about living here. Whether it’s the mountain landscape in the Western horizon or the way she can see as far as her eyes let her, she’s hooked. Her official title is “Company Engagement Manager”, however Karen does so much for us at Aspen Auto. From organizing outreach events to helping us constantly improve our initiatives, she stays focused on making sure we’re always giving back to our community.

Madi Ivey

Business Development Manager

The sunshine is what drew Madi to Colorado. In 2017, she made the move from the Philly suburbs to Colorado Springs. She loves her view of the mountains, and not having to wear a winter coat in January is definitely a perk! Along with the mountain views, Madi enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking and taking her German Shepherd, Valkyrie, on walks.

Her love for the automotive industry began in a Toyota dealership when she was 18 years old. She fell in love with the field and the problem-solving aspect of working on cars. One of her favorite parts of working at Aspen is being able to be creative with new ideas that help our clinics stand out. With plenty of training and a creative approach to everything, Madi is an excellent Business Development Manager here at Aspen.

Erik Smith

Operations Manager/Union Managing Partner

Born in Meridian, MS, Erik was raised in Alabaster, AL. After moving to Colorado Springs, he fell in love with the tight-knit community, the 300 days of sunshine and seemingly endless mountains.

Erik’s passion for car care is clear. His certifications include Porsche, Audi, and Nissan and he has over 25 years of experience in the industry. Over the years, he has loved watching the growth and development of new technology in the auto industry. Not to mention, his grandfather before him owned his own auto shop for over 51 years. So it’s safe to say that car care runs in Erik’s blood.

Outside of his work hours, he loves watching movies with his wife Heidi. You can also find him weightlifting, target shooting, or enjoying the art of MMA.

Andrew Martinez

Manager of Dawson

When Andrew isn’t working at Aspen Auto, you can find him cooking, lifting weights and (most importantly) spending time with his family. He has four kids, Calista, Andrew, Delilah and Alex. He was born in Pueblo, CO, and even though he lived in Seattle for 20 years, Colorado has always been his home. He moved back to Colorado in 2015 and now lives in Castle Rock.

After his time in the Army, where he served as a radar operator, Andrew found himself in the car service industry. What he finds most fulfilling about his job is helping people, and he does just that. With an ASE certification in his pocket, Andrew has been an amazing part of our Aspen team!

Lisa Kleinfieldt

Manager of Jet Stream

Colorado Springs is the only home that Lisa’s known, and that’s exactly how she wants it. She and her “huge” family all live in Colorado Springs. That huge family includes her two children, Olivia, and Juan Jr., and her 25 nieces and nephews! And, of course, Peaches — her miniature pinscher. When she isn’t spending time with her wonderful family, Lisa loves to read and enjoys everything Colorado Springs (her “forever” home) has to offer. If the beauty, weather, and sunshine isn’t enough to keep her here, the culture sure is.

With over ten years of experience and a husband who is also in the auto industry, car care runs in Lisa’s blood. Her time at Aspen Auto has been spent enjoying the time with her colleagues and getting to know the customers that she’s able to take care of. Lisa is also a certified service advisor. Let her help guide you through the car repair process as one of our amazing managers here at Aspen.

Brian Tore

Manager of Mark Dabling

Born in Lynnwood, California, Brian grew up in Long Beach and Orange County. In 1990, Brian fell in love with the automotive industry. He has multiple certifications and has spent time at a private school in California for auto repair. After moving to Colorado Springs in 2006, he fell in love with the culture and community. And, with plenty of experience under his belt, he found his home away from home at Aspen Auto Clinic. What he loves the most about working at Aspen is having the opportunity to help others every day.

In his free time, you can find him target shooting, deep sea fishing or spending time with his dog, Big Rat. He also loves cooking from scratch (and we love eating it). For all of these reasons, Brian has been a great addition to the team.

Steve West

Manager of Tutt

Steve West has spent a lifetime in the automotive industry. Approaching 20 years in the field, Steve’s passionate about working with our clients to help them make educated decisions about their services and working with the Aspen Auto Clinic team. When he isn’t working at our Tutt location, you can find him cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, spending time with his new puppy, Apollo, or bowling. (He’s bowled four perfect games and has been 1st place in the City Tournament. Twice.)

Although Steve was born in Colorado Springs, growing up with a father in the Army carried him around the world. He’s lived in Germany twice, Georgia, and Kansas. His dad retired back to Colorado Springs in 1992 and Steve hasn’t left since, sharing this beautiful state with his two children, Kyle and Stephanie.

Stop by our Tutt location to see him in action today.
